Lost childhood

Like a sunday evening worrying about Monday's work,
Like being jealous on seeing the apartment kids playing hide and seek from the balcony,
Like pinching a huge flesh of my flabby hips regretting at my over indulgence of mom's poori and bhaji,
Like all the moon bags under my eyes the late night work in the laptop gave,
Like having to rush to college without even brushing the hair with the thesis submission,
I forgot that I lost my childhood and life is slowly weeping at the loss.
The howling became deeper and deeper and hollower and hollower from muffled silent cries under the blanket.
Now, the yellow swing and playing with soaped bubbles didn't feel good.
They just digged and preyed on morsels of my buried childhood.
