Gross Feelings

I save feelings in a jar

A transparent glass jar,

Visible to everyone

Coming to the living room

Looking at the shelves

And fastidiously looking

For things to nitpick.

This mostly angry glass jar,

Actually sometimes sad jar,

Only has my gross feelings

Stuck to its circumference

Making me look like

A gross, dumb, shallow person.

Thus visitors know only the gross

And those who care to look

If there's only and more gross in the jar

Get surprised to learn

There's more gross but of different types

But also some real feelings hiding alongside

Some smirk at it, some bicker

But that only adds to the gross feelings of mine

Inside the jar.

What will you do when the jar is filled to the brim?

Asks someone.

I answer, "I don't know"

And then one more

Gross feeling adds to the jar.

Now the jar is full to the bore.

And there's nothing more.
