The eternal fire

Between shy smiles and awkward glances,

There sparked a fire

That wouldn't stop burning

To splashing water or a poor warm piece of blanket.

Neither I nor do you 

Know about this eternal fire.

It spread to the hands and limbs 

From painfully sobbing hearts.

It blindfolded our eyes and paralysed the minds to immortality.

There was just heat, burning heat to feel that burnt us to death

Yet gave the warmth that we were craving for.

We clinged to the heat,

Finding comfort in burnt skin and boils.

The fire is eternal,

Our bodies burnt in it to fuel for eternity.

We still clinged to the heat,

For it still warms our naked souls. Naked souls flamed there up on 

Much like infinity in the vacuum.
